PROFESSIONAL

Beyond the consulting room.

Alongside my clinical practice, I have a strong interest in medical education, veteran healthcare, thoughtful healthcare design and the ways we can make general practice work better — for patients, clinicians and the people who support them.

I welcome opportunities to contribute through speaking, clinical consultation, education, advisory work and practice design.

Whether I am caring for a patient, supporting another clinician, or contributing to a project, my focus remains the same: better care, built around the person.

Clinical practice is the foundation of my professional work. It has given me a close view of healthcare at its best — and of the places where thoughtful changes in communication, coordination, environment and systems can make a meaningful difference.

That experience also shapes the work I do beyond the consulting room: supporting colleagues, contributing to education and professional conversations, and exploring practical ways to make healthcare work better for both patients and the people who care for them.

Speaking & Education

I enjoy translating the complexity of medicine and healthcare into conversations that are practical, thoughtful and engaging.

My speaking and educational work draws on more than 13 years in general practice, with particular interests in veteran health, complex care, patient-centred medicine, continuity of care and the design of healthcare that works better for both patients and clinicians.

I welcome opportunities to contribute to conferences, professional education, panel discussions, workshops, podcasts and other conversations about healthcare and general practice.

Speaking topics may include

• Veteran health and navigating complex care

• Patient-centred general practice

• Supporting GPs caring for complex patients

• Continuity, context and the therapeutic relationship

• Designing healthcare environments around people

• The future of thoughtful general practice

Veteran Health — GP Case Consultation

Caring for veterans in general practice can be clinically and administratively complex, particularly when care involves multiple conditions, providers, DVA processes and the wider context of service history.

I offer collegial case consultation for GPs who would value another experienced GP perspective on complex veteran care. The aim is not to take over the patient’s management, but to support the treating GP in making sense of complexity, coordinating care and identifying practical next steps.

Designing Better General Practice

The physical environment of a medical practice influences more than how it looks. Lighting, acoustics, privacy, sensory load, navigation, consulting-room layout and staff workflow can all shape the experience of care.

I have a particular interest in patient-centred medical architecture and general practice design, including how spaces can reduce unnecessary stress while remaining beautiful, practical and highly functional.

Advisory & Collaborative Work

I value opportunities to contribute a frontline general practice perspective to healthcare innovation, service development and clinical improvement.

I currently contribute through advisory work and welcome thoughtful collaborations aligned with better patient care and stronger general practice.

Let's start a conversation.

If you are interested in speaking, education, clinical consultation, practice design or another professional collaboration, I would be very happy to hear from you.
